Question
My 11 year daughter was diagnosed in September 2010 by her new pediatrician as having an anxiety disorder. The pediatrician put her on sertralin for depression/anxiety and then because she couldn't sleep she also prescribed clonidine. Leah has always cried and screamed about going to school -- usually for the first five months of school and then she calms down. This is making it difficult for her to socialize and make friends which probably also led to the bullying she experienced at the beginning of this past school year. Is Leah really anxious of just too coddled? How do I know? What do I do next? She is now homeschooled at the recommendation of the pediatrician's psychologist. Help!
