Sleeping problems

Question

Our 2 1/2 year old goes through periods where she gets up and down out of her room at bedtime sometimes six or seven times. Usually I just take her hand and walk her back to bed with a firm "Stay in your room". When my husband and/or older kids are not home she usually doesn't come out of her room more than once, if at all. Often when they are home, when she comes out of her room, I find her with my husband or one of our older children, which makes me bad, they should take her back to bed. Not only am I losing sleep but I can tell she is frustrated and whinier at bed time. Is there something else I should be doing or just keep taking her back to bed and eventually this will pass?
