Question
Should we go ahead and put our 7 year old in a new school next fall even though he has cried and asked to please not make him move? Agreement was that in order to afford our larger house in a better neighborhood,and get our kids in a school where we would feel comfortable for all 12 years, we would move the kids to the local public school next fall. The other night he was crying in his sleep about "please don't make me leave my school". My husband promptly signed him back up at his current private school saying he couldn't bear to see our son unhappy at a school where he doesn't know anyone. I say better to do it know than later when he's older and has longer lasting friendships. Your opinion?
