Question
My daughter generally plays nicely with my 4 1/2 yo son. Nevertheless, whenever she is not otherwise occupied she insists on being in my arms. I'm not an overly affectionate person, but she gets plenty of love and mommy time with book reading, rocking before bedtime, etc. My general response is to give her a hug, tell her that mommy is busy and that she needs to compose herself or go to her room. This has been going on for several months and while I'm trying not to stay the course,it is painful to have to keep turning her down. Is this a normal stage for her age that I simply need to wait out?
