Refusing to participate

Question

My daughter is 3 years (and 2 months). This fall I signed her up for a toddler dance class which is a gross motor movement class...hopping, skipping, running, followed by a story and snack. It is a 30 minute class which meets once a week. My daughter goes to daycare 4 days a week and my mother keeps her for one day and takes her to dance class. At first, she loved it and enjoyed going. Now she refuses to participate and makes up excuses...I'm too tired, I'll dance tomorrow, etc. Nothing has changed and nothing happened to make her dislike going to class. It's almost as if a "Stubborn Switch" has been flipped. The only reason I signed her up for this was for her to have something different to do that she would enjoy. Do you suggest that I stop sending her to dance class or should we keep going despite her refusal to participate?(I'm a firm believer in not quitting anything, but is she too young for this lesson?) Thanks for any insight!
