Smart Board 2

Question

I was a little concerned about my 8 year old's handwriting (shes homeschooled) until I saw my 12 yr old nieces' homework, this past weekend.I have little to compare our children's work to, yet I insist on teaching handwriting even though the schools have stopped teaching cursive and have switched to smart boards. Some districts are going a step further and instead of selling books, this year, sold netbooks(laptops) to the kids with their entire curriculum on them. I would suggest teaching handwriting at home because apparently this is no longer an area where the schools are concerned. I, for one, want my children to be able to have legible hand writing and be able to sign their name correctly on a check, loan, or anywhere else they want to appear to be an educated person.
