If I understand you correctly, John, you think early academic education is over-rated. Is age 2, too early to begin learning alphabet? by way of ABC song? How 'bout those battery operated pads that fit in lap and teach letters, or the magnetic letters? We are in tune with teaching manners and getting her centered on us. We have family who want her knowing ABC's and colors, etc. She seems to like some of those noisy electronic games........
