Question
Should I prevent my mom from giving my three preschool kids presents every single day when she is visiting? She is usually here once a month for about a week and every morning she hands out small "surprises". The kids love it (of course) but I am a little concerned that they will begin to think of her only in terms of her presents rather than the time she spends with them. I am also a little uncomfortable with the avalanche of trinkets and toys which are soon forgotten/broken/donated to a good cause....Any words of wisdom? Should I just let this happen? My husband and I have discussed it and are not sure if we should try to change my Mom's spoiling or just let it ride...
