A New School Year; A New School

Question

When our school district redistricted my child to a different school we decided to take this opportunity to move her to the Catholic School in town. I was very excited about getting her out of public school until I went to orientation tonight and was told that I would have a nightly homework sheet I would have to sign after I worked with my child on spelling, math and reading for at least a few minutes every night. Oh, and I'd also have to learn Spanish so I could have conversations with my child in Spanish to help her learn the language. I was near tears when I got home. I'm busy, I have three children, I don't have time in the evening to devote that much time just to her, not to mention I'd rather her work on self discipline and personal responsibility. How do I handle this without coming off as an uninvolved parent...the worst sin of all!!!???
