Question
I have a 33 month old who needs her discipline stepped up. I have never tried the gate method to keep her in her room because I just assumed she would knock it down or climb over it. We reversed her door knob and close and lock the door to keep her in her room for time outs. She had been beating on the door but we nipped that quickly by telling her her time out time didn't start until AFTER she was quiet. Most archives on discipline recommend gating in. Should I not lock her in? How long can her time outs be? She is intentially hurting our dog (around Grama) and I need to nip this before I lose it with her.
