Question
I don't allow my 13-year old son to watch TV or play computer/video games during the summer. I have done this every summer. Maybe an occasional TV show or movie at night w/family. However, he has outgrown his toys and doesn't seem to have any outside interests. He's smart, and a good kid, and in football at school. He's a middle child. His sisters are always finding things to do, but he's not an initiator yet.
His lack of interest in finding things to do bewilders me. He always asks me what are we doing tomorrow, as if he's waiting on me to make the plans. Just now, I told him to clean his room, and he just fell asleep on his bed (this happens a lot) unless one of his friends is over. When and how do I step in?
