Question
Regarding: 13 boy to a residential home?
Dr. Rosemond, in your answer, you said that "unfortunately, I do not know of any [good boys "homes"], but if you tell me where you are, I can do some looking." We are in the Atlanta area. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. We have insurance, but are financially limited.
Praise report: Last night my son misbehaved badly (threatening, yelling, referencing our decisions as "stupid", etc...) so my husband and I put him out of the house as previously warned. He was told to remain in the backyard until we decide to let him in, as we were no longer allowing him to remain in our home with such behavior. It was night time and had gotten chilly (low 60s). He had on short sleeves and shorts. After 20 minutes he began to knock, saying "It's cold!". We eventually went outside with him and told him that he would be allowed in once he accepted responsibility for what he had said and then apologized (specifically) for it. He was left to ponder and then he did so. He said, though, that he was angry because "how was I to know that you were going to enforce what you had said." OUCH! I had not been enforcing and after your session, as I mentioned in my initial question, I am empowered to DO WHAT I SAY I WILL DO!
