Dear John, We have a 3 year old boy. I've read your books and am proactive and consistent. I've been using a system like the ticket system except the tickets are replaced with 3 stuffed animals in his room that he loses one at a time when he goes to his room. If he loses them all then he gets nothing as in treats, movies, anything he asks for rest of day. The behavior I'm targeting is obedience. He usually loses his "tickets" quickly and just continues to do everything he knows he's not suppose to do like jumping on couch, opening refrigerator, etc,. I feel like I take him to his room 20 times a day and sometimes I just leave him in there awhile as he yells and bangs on door. Do I stay the course and hope he eventually gets it or up the ante?
