18 month old hitting: Our 18 month old has started hitting. She hits us out of frustration, she hits neighbors when they play with her toys, and she sometimes hits me during the day when she gets bored or restless. Should I handle ALL hitting with the same procedure/consequences. I know to try to intercept or avoid the hit and say "no hitting" but do I do more? Time out in the no no chair or time in her room? She always cuts her eyes at me to see what I am going to do or say which makes me think that she knows the behavior is not ok. Thank you for your guidance.
