Question
I have two sons, ages 14 and 12. The 12 year old is his own person and seems to care more about self and adult approval than peer approval. My 14 year old son is the opposite. He is a follower who seems overly influenced by his peers. Currently they attend a small rural Catholic school. However, in the fall the 14 year old will be entering a large rural public high school. How can I adjust his priorities from peer approval to teacher/parent/authority approval?
