Update on a 2yo boy toilet training in daycare and going "commando". Success, sweet success! Thank you so much for reassuring me and telling me to stay the course. First, he is in underwear now (we simply forced it on a couple of times, and then he didn't have a problem with it anymore). Secondly, the daycare training was grueling for the teachers and nerve wracking for me, but every time they begged me to use pull-ups (and believe me I got lots of dirty looks), I begged and pleaded not to and explained that it will only delay the process and make their job more difficult going forward. My son finally got comfortable asking the teachers to go, and we haven't had any accidents in a while. To all the working mothers with toddlers in daycare - it can be done! After about 2-3 weeks it just clicks, both at home and in daycare. The teachers will get a very grateful thank you note and a gift from us for the holidays, thanking them for their assistance. They now feel proud as much as my son is proud to have accomplished this! Thanks again!
