Question
My six year old daughter has recently learned at school to say 'you are hurting my feelings' to it seems many situations. It is very frustrating especially when she says it while I discipline her. Any suggestions on an appropriate response? In exasperation I have said 'you are hurting my feelings when you disobey me' - which seems to do the trick to a point. Perhaps you have some better ideas?
