Question
Our 16 year old niece who currently lives with us started asking us at the age of 13 when she could date. We told her not at 13. At present we told her she can go out with a group of kids because we feel that is much safer (in many ways). Some of her friends are dating and are sexually active. There is no doubt in our minds that she lacks the maturity and self control to eventually say no to sex. I know we can not keep her from being alone with a boy but what do you suggest in this situation? Because of her previous home life before coming with us we know that any boy who shows her the least bit of attention will probably get everything he wants. I am too old to raise a baby at this stage of the game.
