My granddaughter insults my daughter as being 'ridiculous' in her decision-making as a mom and as a housewife. When my daughter offered to help in her college application process, my granddaughter told her that she doesn't value the opinion of a housewife. This hurts my daughter greatly to the point that she has decided to avoid any conversation or interaction with her daughter. Since my son-in-law's job requires many hours beyond the normal 40 hour work week, he has tried to stay neutral, but it seems as though my granddaughter has become a bully to her mom. Any thoughts or suggestions that could help my daughter deal with her defiant 18 year old?
