Question
We adopted our daughter last year from China. I've just now been reading John's comments about adoption and adoption specialists, and I wish I had read them sooner - it would have saved me a lot of stress! Our girl is almost 2, and we've been thinking a lot about how to proceed with her. We don't want adoption to define her life, but everyone knows she was adopted. There were many people waiting and praying with us through the process. It's also obvious to strangers that we adopted her, and she gets a lot of comments! How can we keep adoption a minimal part of her life when people constantly bring it up?
