Question
I have a 14 yr old stepson that lies, sneaks (had electronics taken away but snuck his school tablet into his room to look at inappropriate things), and has "run away" to his grandparents to get away from being kicked out of the garden (was with them for a month before his dad made him come home). He currently has no devices and is only allowed to watch tv in the living room and do homework while supervised on his tablet. We know he looks at inappropriate things on that school tablet and he tries to sneak it to his moms. His mom is in no way on the same page as us and basically has the mindset that this is normal teenage behavior and he should be left alone as long as he keeps it private. He has spoken ill of me to everyone involved and everytime I do talk to him now I wind up afraid he will lie about what was said so I look terrible. I guess I just need your opinion on how I go about trying to sort these things out as I also have a 12 yr old son that is seeing all this play out.
