Helping Daughter Overcome Shyness and Build Confidence

Question

Dear John my name is Tatiana Silva, and I reside in Nassau, Bahamas. We've had a conversation over the phone previously, and I continue to value and follow your work closely. I'm reaching out for advice regarding my 14-year-old daughter, who struggles with confidence and shyness. Her shyness significantly hinders her ability to forge new friendships, and she often takes on a follower role rather than leading. Additionally, her inflexibility when interacting with peers makes maintaining friendships challenging.
I'm contemplating whether to seek therapy for her, but I'm torn between waiting for her to mature naturally. My concerns extend to finding the right therapist one who will not make her feel victimized, won't blame parenting styles, and importantly, respects and supports strong family values.

My primary aim is to see her grow into a strong, confident individual. Given these complexities, I would greatly appreciate your opinion on how to better approach this issue.
