Question
Hello,
I'm having issues with my 6 year old following directions and doing things the first time she's asked. I have made her a check list to help her organize her tasks which has helped. If I tell her to do something not on the list she doesn't do it. Tonight I told her to put her gem art away, we were eating dinner and I see she hasn't put it away. I told her not to touch the gingerbread house and she touched it, not to touch the dry erase board and she does. I have removed everything from her room. I have taken shows and snacks and now I make her go outside and complete chores (pick up leaves, sticks ect). Do I just continue to take things and put her to work? Any special tricks or just continue to stay consistent?
