Time for marriage counseling.

Question

My husband feels I criticize him too much and maybe I do. I've been known to criticize him for leaving dishes in or around the sink when I've told him not to more than once (we have a dishwasher). I've criticized him for swearing and told him to stop. I don't swear - I don't want people to swear in the house or around the kids. Maybe its less than it used to be (as he points out) but does not make it ok?

When are criticisms petty and could be overlooked/put up with and when are criticisms valid and should be corrected?
