How to Stop Micro-Managing Playtime

Question

In Mr. Rosemond's most recent podcast on 'The Good Mommy Club, he states that children shouldn't be told how to play because it comes naturally. I find myself micro-managing my daughters when I sense they are about to fight in some manner (over a toy, or a game they are playing, etc...). Is this appropriate? I sometimes sense that I am doing it too much, so I want to understand if I should let fighting escalate or do something else.
