Question
My 8-year-old son is having trouble sleeping in his own room. His imagination is taking over when he tries to settle down for the night. We have a bedtime routine at the same time every evening. We allow him to listen to a kid-friendly sleep meditation while resting in his bed, and he has soft nightlights in his room. He routinely ends up in our bed in the early morning hours. My husband and I are heavy sleepers, so we don't notice until we are waking up in the morning. Otherwise, I would get up and send him back to his bed. How can we encourage him to stay in his bed for the entire night?
