Not getting his way head banger.

Question

Hi,
My 18 month old son will bang his head against me when I am carrying him if he is angry or does not get his way. For example after playing outside, I will announce it is time to go inside and pick him up. He will scream and bang his head against me the entire time. When it’s time for a diaper change, I will pick him up and take him to our station and he will bang his head the entire time. (We will be starting potty training next month to help with this). If he was using his hands to hit me, I could grab them and say no firmly. Should I say no, and place him down on the ground and walk away OR hold his head firmly against my chest saying no? Thank you in advance
