Question
My son will be five in two months. He often says inappropriate things like "poo poo bum" or "I'm going to chop your leg off" or "I'm going to kill you“. He says them in response to not getting his way, (in a defiant or being annoying way, not in a threating and will carry out the threat way). I assume to get a rise out of me and "have the last word" I suppose?
How should I respond to these types of comments so that he ends up not saying them anymore? I have told him they are inappropriate and not okay to say.
