Question
Hello- my son is six years old and in the first grade. With his birthday he’s a little younger for the grade but seems very immature. He makes weird noises in class and tries to be silly when most kids are over that. We’re working on the school issue but I continue to have problems with him at home. One on one he’s OK, sometimes delightful, unless his sisters in the picture. It’s a battle for attention then when I ask him 10 times to do something nicely and end up, having to put him in his room, he loses it. He gets angry/hits doors/screams/ continues to be aggressive. I reached out before, and someone commented about him learning the world’s not about him. I just need to know how do you deal with someone who flips so easily and is also so defiant and aggressive?
