Question
Help! My 2 grandchildren, a boy 3, girl 16 months are being labeled autistic by their pediatrician because they are not speaking a lot of words yet. They both speak gibberish, and the boy is aggressive to his sister, pushing her down a lot. Their mom speaks Korean and English both fluently and they have a Korean nanny who does not speak English. For the first 2 years my grandson had a Spanish speaking babysitter. I think they are just confused by these different languages. And I am trying to stay involved without being too pushy since I am the mother-in-law! Any suggestions? The boy is very loving and affectionate to me, the girl ignores me. Their dad, my son, was a late talker. You helped me raise my 3 sons; I sure could use your advice!
