Question
At 5, my daughter loves to play with kids close to her age, but has not yet asked that any of her kindergarten group of friends come over for a play date. According to the teacher she plays well with others in school, but is just a bit on the shy side. Should I be arranging dates from school mates for her at this point, or just let her make the first move on that? At least once a week she does play with others in the neighborhood or friends from elsewhere. My thought is that if she were interested enough, she would ask me. Any thoughts?
