16 YO DOESN'T WANT TO SIT AT THE CHILDREN'S TABLE...DO YOU BLAME HIM?

Question

Next week, my sister has a birthday party at her house. My family is planning on attending. The only problem is that they always have a kids table at their events. My son, who is sixteen, wants to sit with the adults. He says that he will not go if they make him sit with the other kids, although my sister really wants him to go. How should I handle this situation?
