Question
My 3.5 year old is a bit timid when it comes to physical things. For example, he won’t go down a slide, but then when I just shove him down it he has fun. My problem is swimming. Now I have an 8 month old to look after at the pool too. Even in his puddle jumpers (float) he will not let go of my fingers. We have had him in (very expensive) swim lessons since November. Can I just shove him away and let him float in his puddle jumper? I don’t want to breach his trust but I know he can do it.
