Coping with the pain of losing a parent

Question

My daughter recently died of brain cancer. Her husband works full time and I am with the kids (ages 8, 9, 11 and 15) most of the time. I would like to know how to help them through the grieving process. Their mom was sick for 4 years. The last year she was partially paralyzed, communicating was difficult, and she could no longer care for them. I am sure they have grieved her loss somewhat through the years of watching her decline. I am at loss at how to help them other than being present and available to them as much as I can.
The kids don’t seem to want to talk about their mom when I bring her up. The youngest was adopted and has now lost two mothers. I appreciate your sharing your wisdom with me.
