Question
I have a younger woman in a young mothers prayer group that has been divorced and has joint custody of her 7yo son. This young woman ( who has as she says PTSD from her marriage and is currently in therapy) wants to send her son to a psychiatrist “to help him deal with his trauma.” I read a column or article by Dr Rosemond on how he doesn’t think sending a child to a psychiatrist is beneficial and am unable to find the article. Please lead me to resources for this young mother.( I asked her if she would consider coming and letting us discuss the issue of whether she should connect him with a psychiatrist and she agreed she would discuss it before she proceeds any further.)
