Question
I am in the process of potty training a 3 year old.
She is irrationally afraid of the potty, and seems to believe she will fall in even though she is using a small toddler-sized potty that she cannot actually fall into. She appears to dislike the sensation of sitting over a hole. She will go near or around the toilet on her own, but never on the toilet.
She naturally prefers privacy and doesn't like me to hover, but that also means I cannot comfort her about the toilet.
Do you have any advice for this problem? Thank you.
