Question
My 4 year old daughter is scared and I'm wondering if it's something we should be concerned about. She goes to bed fine (sleeps with the covers over her head because of her fears) but she ends up in our room in the middle of the night. She won't go to the bathroom alone, she is afraid someone is in the shower so I have to keep the shower curtain open. If I need her to get something from a different room she doesn't want to go by herself. The list goes on. She has been like this since she was about 3. She hasn't been exposed to anything scary at home so I'm at a loss. We've talked about how TV is pretend and also that no one will take her at night because we are home, we have a dog and daddy has guns. Logic doesn't seem to help.
