Question
Our middle child who is 11, has had fears about bedtime and going to and staying asleep, on and off for the past few years. We’ve never let her sleep in our bed but have let her sleep on the floor next to us. We started homeschooling this year and her fears/anxiety have been off the charts. Every little image seems to scare her. We thought we were making progress but tonight she saw a commercial during the Super Bowl that freaked her out, even though it wasn’t that scary. We really try to regulate what she watches and extremely limit it because she reacts to so much. The only thing that seems to calm her is sleeping with her older sister(who doesn’t always want to) or on our floor. She can get hysterical about all this. Suggestions?
