Time to Take the Bull by the Horns

Question

I strongly suspect my son (almost 16) has stolen money from me on a few occasions recently. A month ago $300 disappeared from my purse while we were away on a trip. At the time I thought it must have been stolen from our hotel (I did ask my son about it, and he denied it). Then some $20 notes went missing from some purses (I always keep an emergency $20 in them). It is possible that I spent them without realizing it. Then a $100 note went from my wallet, which I am 90% certain I had not taken for anything. I don't have proof that all these "disappearances" were my son. I sat him down, said money had gone missing, and that we were the only 2 people in the house. I said the damage from stealing was not just the money, but the loss of trust. He denied taking the money. It weighs on my mind and I wonder if I should have another conversation with him. I am 90pc sure he is responsible for at least one of the above. Any thoughts? Separately, I do know he has previously taken some drugs, nothing serious but edibles and vaping cannabis, which unfortunately seems very common among kids at his school. I wonder if he is buying more of these.
