Question
We have noticed more ungrateful and entitled behavior in my 8 year old son recently. During a trip to the zoo, he became upset and was rude and disrespectful when I would not buy him food and ice cream. Another example is a time we let him watch a movie outside with the neighbors, and on the way home he was backtalking and disrespectful when I gave him directions about what to do that conflicted with what he wanted to do (even after just having a special privilege). We have been using tickets and he has spent several days in his room but I haven't seen this behavior improving. What would you suggest?
