Question
My 15yo son admitted to me that a few months ago he took weed (THC) for about a week. Yesterday he and a friend took some more weed. I found out when his friend started feeling nauseated and dizzy when they returned. My son confessed right away. We talked today, and I told him that I could not sanction this since it was illegal and destructive to a growing brain. I am also concerned about addiction and him being drawn into the wrong crowd. What consequence, if any, should I enforce? I told him there would be one and he seemed to accept that. He is not being rebellious or lying about it. But he clearly finds drugs exciting in some way, and drugs seem widely used in high school in a way they were not previously. Also PS I am a single parent.
