Question
My son is 3yrs 4 months and when he is sent to his room as punishment, our house becomes a war zone. He tantrums, throws things at or kicks his door (if shut), refuses to stay in his room (if the door is open) and we can’t find anything that works to change his mind...we have even stripped his room of all his books (he has no toys in his room as he has a separate play room). We do not let him win even when/if this goes on for an hour or two, but it’s so exhausting for my husband and I. What do you/we do when all the methods recommended to make sure the “punishment outweighs the crime” just won’t work??
