Question
My 18 month old always gets a short time out when he hits or throws food. Consequently, he almost never hits or throws food any more. However, since we have been going out more, he is now testing the limits. I was putting him in car seat and he hit me (it was very soft, and he had this look like “what is she going to do?”) I just grabbed his arm and said “No!” very sharply and then we left. I couldn’t really do anything else. Also, sometimes he hits his dad, sometimes as rough housing but sometimes out of frustration. I know think Dad should put him in time out, but he won’t, he says it’s just rough housing.
