Don't take it personally

Question

My 14 year old got a phone for christmas this year much to my regret. We put guidelines and restrictions in place to monitor her. I have her phone after bedtime and in looking at her texting activity discovered she has been cheating on her assignments with another child from her school. I have no proof nor has her teacher said anything. I am assuming since they talked about it and agreed to it that it was done. She has a history of bad behavior so I tend not to give her the benefit of the doubt but my gut is usually right on these things. I'm sure her reaction if I confront her will tell me everything. Do I restrict contact with this other child? Do I discipline based on an assumption of wrong?
