Addressing Food Issues - Part 1

Question

Our kids are 10, 6, 4, and 20 months. The 10, 6, and 4 year olds do not eat their dinners very well. Sometimes they don't eat at all and pick and complain about their food. I get tired of making nice, kid friendly dinners when they aren't eaten, and I also feel like my time is wasted, because they won't eat it. We've tried setting a timer, and having early bedtime for a couple of months and the 6 and 4 year old mostly go to bed early. We do the small bites of food to eat in 15 minutes. What should we do?

Our 10 year old usually does fine with taking the few small bites and then moving on to a second helping of what he likes best about the meal.

Thanks!
