Thank you, we went with the gate and bell method and by the end of January he got it! Now he rarely has an accident.
My next question is, since he stands too close to the potty and he only stands to pee it about half of the pee hits the back part and goes on the floor, under the potty liner. Any tips on getting boys to aim better? Is that even possible to teach at this age since he's only 23 months old? I know that they sell toddler urinals, but I'm afraid if we go that route it will be difficult to train him to poop in the potty properly. And then if we travel with him we will have to buy a travel urinal also lol.
