Focus More on the Behavior than the Diagnosis

Question

I have a 10 year old son who was once diagnosed as autistic. A few years later we had him tested again in which the doctor couldn't understand why he was labeled that way and said he was not autistic he has adhd. Some people still say they believe he is on the spectrum but im sick of having him tested. Anyway he has trouble making friends because he doesn't want to play what other kids want to play and he doesn't want to talk about what other kids talk about which annoys the other kids. He is the type of kid who wants to be in charge. My husband spoke to one of his teachers and and she said on the playground he was playing soccer with the other kids and he took the ball and ran. How do we nip this type of behavior? We don't know what else to do.
