Question
We started the ticket system with our three and 5 year old boys about two months ago. I feel like our 3 year old may be too young for it. The afternoons are particularly rough because he has dropped his nap and he is miserably tired. We are not asking for extraordinary behavior, knowing he is tired but we do require that he obey, and act civil (no hitting or screaming). Many days it seems impossible for him to keep it together in the afternoon. He is whiny, lashes out verbally and physically and it can be close to impossible to keep him in his room. Taking away toys or the promise of a consequence does nothing. He seems to spiral out of control as the day goes on.
He does have an hour of rest time daily but does not fall asleep. What would you recommended?
