Question
We recently adopted a 9 month Little boy. We have a three-year-old and five-year-old boy who love their new brother very much but have had some behavior issues since adopting him. I think it would be more accurate to say there has been an exacerbation of underlying behavior issues. In particular, our five-year-old boy has had some violent outburst of kicking his brother or hitting or kicking his friends if things don’t go his way. We are using the ticket system and decided that a violent outburst with physical violence means he loses all his tickets at once.
He has started refusing going to his room when he loses his tickets. He is too big for me to carry and I don’t want to get into a physical battle with him. What do you recommend in the situation?
