what is the best way to teach a 23 month old that they can not do few things. for example , today my 23 month daughter broke 2 decorative cups on purpose, by threwing them on the floor happily, after one hour, she broke a vase too. in both cases I explained slowly and clearly in a firm tone that she can not do this, it is dangerous , then I put her time out in her crib that she does not like or use anymore in the guest room. she was surprised and took the punishment, looking at my face to give her a smile, she knows what she did was wrong. she is a very smart stubborn girl, But how am I going to discipline her regarding what she can do and what she can not?
